Guide to adding a product to the Doblly store

In this tutorial, we'll show you how to add a new product to your store — including setting up categories, product variations, pricing, and inventory.

Step 1: Creating Categories

Start by organizing your store with product categories.

Go to the ‘Products’ tab and click on ‘Category’.

Click the Add Category button (top right).

Enter a category name (e.g. Potato).

Choose a parent category, upload an image and an icon.

Check Status to activate the category, and Trending if it’s popular.

Click Create.

Step 2: Creating Product Variations (Attributes)

Now, let’s create product variations like color or size.

Go to ‘Products’ > ‘Attributes’.

Click Add Attributes.

Enter a name — for example, Color.

Click Create.

Next, click Configure terms.

Click the ‘+’ icon (top right) to add each term — e.g. Red, Blue, Yellow.

Add each variation value separately.

Step 3: Adding a New Product

Go to ‘Product’ and click the ‘+’ icon to add new product.

Enter the product name.

Assign it to a category.

Add relevant tags for easier searching and fill in the rest of the fields in the same way (SKU, unit, etc.).

Pricing & Inventory

Set the product price:

Enter the regular price.

Optionally, add a sale price.

Under Stock, select status: In Stock, Out of Stock, or On Backorder.

Additional Details

You can upload high-quality images of the product

And upload preview images of the product.

Adding Variants to the Product

Enable ‘Display Variants’ to activate product variations.

Scroll down to the Product Attribute section.

Select an attribute like Color.

Add values (e.g. Red, Yellow, Blue).

Make sure to check ‘Used for variations’ and 'Visible on the product page'

This allows you to set different pricing, stock, and shipping details per variation.

Check Enabled to activate.

Fill in all the details:

SKU
Weight(Kg)
Variation Price
Sale Price
Shipping
Select Stock Status
Add Description

Once everything is set up, click Save.

Your product has been successfully added and is now live in your store.
